Great news, in fact this is more than great! Green Wave Electrical are now Loxone Partners.

First, let me introduce you to the Miniserver. The Miniserver is the brains behind all of this, the centre point for Loxone building automation. It receives information from all the inputs such as motion, temperature, brightness, humidity and water sensors, then processes them using logic from software called Config, programmed by yours truly. The information is then sent out by means of dimming lights or changing mood depending on the time of day, opening or closing blinds in relation to the position of the sun, controlling heating room by room and even switching on your washing machine when electricity is cheapest. This is the future of how we will operate in our homes and businesses, using automation to save time, money and energy.

Lighting - Energy efficient LED’s can be used to create ambient, task or accent lighting to make the perfect mood in the office, shop, warehouse or home.

Heating - Zonal heating and intelligent room controllers can make heating up to 12.5% more efficient and give you the perfect temperatures in each room.

Security - Flashing the lights throughout the building, sounding an alarm, raising blinds are some features of the security system. Also random presence simulation will deter any potential thieves.

Multimedia - Integrated speaker system can create the perfect atmosphere in your home or commercial property.

Shading - In addition to privacy, blinds can be integrated into the intelligent room controller to block out the sun if it’s too hot or open to passively heat without you having to touch a thing.

Energy Management - Heating, cooling, blinds, ventilation and even the lighting will all work together to maximise your energy savings. Integrate your solar PV, battery storage and EV charger to work together, seamlessly.

Here’s a few home automation ideas

• If a water or gas leak is detected, the supply can be automatically cut off at the source.

• If you have impaired hearing your doorbell could flash your lights instead of ringing a bell.

• Sit down in your reading chair and your reading light switches on automatically.

• Select the optimum lux levels for your workspace and the lights could adjust depending on the amount of daylight shining into the room.

• Weather forecasting means if it’s going to be dry, sprinklers can automatically be switched on.

• If you have solar PV and battery storage, weather forecasting tells the Miniserver that cloudy weather is expected, the battery can then charge at night when electricity is cheapest.

• Your integrated sound system could blast out Heavy Metal if an intruder is detected.
